The Parishes of Claverley & Tuck Hill - All Saints' Church, Claverley

Commemorating 100 Years since the End of The Great War 1914 – 1918
Claverley have been commemorating all those who died from the village in the Great War (WWI). We have displayed the details of every member of the community killed in action on the date of their anniversary. Between 2014 and 2018 we have displayed the details on a board at the back of church and have built up a large display finishing with the death of Private Dennis Bull.
These local heroes will be remembered at our annual Remembrance Service and their details will remain in church until Christmas.

Over the weekend of the Armistice 2018 we have several events taking place:

Our monthly Coffee Morning will take place between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 10th November - All proceeds this month will go to the Poppy Appeal.

Claverley church choir will be singing songs and hymns at a local Public House (The Gate at Heathton) on Saturday at 7pm and we will relight the church tower on the Saturday evening.

The community will finish thecommemorations with our Remembrance Service, which is usually attended by around 200 people, on Sunday 11th November from 10.30am.
